Dr. Mark Ryan is a Grand Junction native and a Colorado State University School of Veterinary Medicine Graduate, Class of 1987 Graduate. He has been practicing veterinary medicine and surgery for 35 years. In his many years of practice, he has been a relief vet, an associate vet, a practice owner, and a veterinary consultant. He has worked with all kinds of animals. Large animals, small animals, exotics, avian, and wildlife. And he still loves his job. He very much appreciates, and supports, the bond between his clients, and their pets. He appreciates that he has helped develop a great veterinary medicine culture here at Monument View, that puts our pets first. He is very grateful for his incredible clients, their exceptional pets, his incredible staff, his incredible partners, and our culture. Dr. Ryan is, number one, an advocate for your pet. His focus is on what they need.
He is blessed to be a part of a beautiful family. Wife, Karen. Two incredible kids, Emma (16) and Jack (15). Loving dogs, Ghillie (Black Labrador female), and Franchessca (Franchi or Frankie, an Italian Spinone). A demanding cat, Mao (a black short haired 15-year-old cat). And a Western Box Turtle, Sprocket.
Dr. Ryan enjoys camping with his family, skiing, and hiking up the mountains with his rifle and wading through rivers with his fly rod. Always, hopeful. Happy with the pursuit. Grateful for the opportunity. Grateful to be practicing medicine. Involved in the local community. Kiwanis Club focuses on improving our world, one child and one community, at a time. MVVH supports the Kiwanis Alert Service Dog Program that takes care of the alert dogs that take care of Type I Diabetic children and epileptic children. He is a member of the Mesa County Animal Services Advisory Board. Chapter Representative (multiple counties of Western Colorado) of the Colorado Veterinary Medical Society.
